** Survivor on the 'Row **
- Drop Your whaaaa??! - by: Andy Canales # 999366 Texas Death Row Damn! Did that just happen?! Seriously? 3 people get smoked, in some pretty slick game play moves and then its MERGE?! What? But, oh my gosh.. what a move by the game! to open it up and get some really fresh play in the midst, RIGHT OFF THE GRIP! Yes!! Shaking up the teams opened up all kinds of strategy by those who held advantages and idols, not to mention, force some quick alliance's that will be tested off the bat! WOW! Is it me, or has this game stepped up and lifted game play to another level? The separation of Eve and Joe was hard to watch, but her quick latch on to David was a comfort to her and seems to calm her nerves.. BUT! She was quick to throw Star under a bus, and that might come back to bite her on the ass..Seeing Sai work and start to build some girl power moves could be a game changer, doncha think? Watch out Cedrik! Because she knows you cant be trusted, huh? Mary came out on top, with some new team mates that could changed her game and give her the tools to play HER game..which was evident in the challenge...THAT was a true come from behind win..not just come back, but to win first place was how you OUT PLAY! Can we all agree that some Tribes are just cursed?! Sad but oh so true, and watching the California Girls stand there with their mouths hanging open and shocked was a lasting, not to mention satisfying moment..Let's be honest, the sneaky moves are fun to watch and cheer on, but WE ALL KNOW, that when you get to deep into lies, you open yourself to being the victim of being OUT WITTED! The "girls" got blindsided by those who came to OUT LAST! Kamila and Kyle pulled an epic move that left them girls gasping for air and rocked by the devious play. Oh Man, the look on Joe's face said it all, and it went perfect..Classic play and one for the record books, doncha think? I mean, Thomas walked out with an advantage in his pocket! THAT was how you know you pulled a move that is framed and displayed... What makes it even better for me, is that for the last 3 seasons I have been able to WATCH the show on TV! We've not had TV's since 2000! We just got them installed and working in time for the 2023 SuperBowl...Before 2023 I could only listen to it on the radio, which allowed me to catch the social game better then the physical game. Hearing that really helped me understand how this game is won..being physical will only get you so far, its the social game that determines a winner in ALMOST every season..almost...THIS season is really shaping up to be one for the books, and I am so happy to have a front row seat..IT IS GAME ON! Survivor on the Row - Season 48, Episode 3
** Survivor on the 'Row **
by: Andy Canales # 999366 Texas Death Row Is it possible? Is it? That after 25 years of Survivor, we are seeing the fruits of those long years in the embodiment of generations that watched, plotted, and learned how to Out Wit, Out Play and Out Last? Is it?! Watching these last three episodes and taken stock of the moves of players who, for the most part were children when the first season of Survivor aired in 2000, was eye opening in the sense that they had a better grasp of the game then most, and yes they still LOOKED like they trusted a bit to much and acted on emotion (Cedrik!) they have shown us a level of craftiness that was missing in the past..Normally, it took 6 or 7 episodes for players to get a handle on how to proceed, but this seasons players seem to get it, and have already put things in motion that could "blow up a spot" (thank you Liz for the tagline!) and snuff out a torch or two! Last nights tribal was dramatic and again, we see that the older the player, the more emotional they play.. Am I the only one who sees the major mistake that Cedrik made by picking Sai? You clearly drank the koolaid that she was handing out "daddy"... Dumb ass! Yes, of course, pick the snake in your midst, to bite you in the ass tomorrow! Smart move. sigh!.. Justin was a gamer and given time he would have wrecked havoc in the jungle..He did the right thing not telling Cedrik that he had no vote, and pulled a great blindside on Kevin who was dangerous, even though he was right about Sai! I gotta say, this is starting to shape up as an EPIC season, and possibly the future of the game itself will be judged by it, after all its been 25 years, which is a hell of a long time to be on TV but in its own way it has Out Played, Out Witted, and Out Lasted the rest of the field that has done its best to vote it off the network, but the old dog named "Survivor" is aptly named and is showing why its still the best! Hoorah! YES, I love the level of intensity that is being displayed off the bat, and the dynamics of some, will be put to the test as we go into this merge, which will show us who will begin the real work of winnowing out those who have NO GAME! Survivors Ready.......GO! Andy Canales
