Survivor on the Row - Season 49, Episode 9: The Trees

** The Trees ** by: Anibal Canales Texas Death Row November/2025 Well Survivors, its time for some "Real Talk" among us..Yeah, it sux when we have to be adults and get all serious and whatnot..LOL! I hate DAT! Yet, its how we face facts that we missed and this one was a dozy for me..and I'm willing to be for others as well..I say that cause I talk Survivor every week with my tribe and we all missed this! Hola many have heard that analogy of the Forest and Trees? Stare at the trees and you miss the forest? etc. etc...? I missed THE TREES! I was so busy gaging and observing the forest, judging how it looked to me and mine that I lost sight of the TREES! The game was being played by 18 people and I was critical of the play, or lack of, and lost sight of those PLAYING the game! The whole time, we all criticized the way that many of the players were missing the opportunities and not making moves within the game that would make the season a lot more interesting and more engaging for us, the viewers..right? While we were groaning, the game was being played, and we MISSED IT! Let's Rewind: From the start, who was in the mix? Savannah, Rizo, and Soph B, with some others who latched on, but those three were the ones driving the game and we watched them ALL, which took our eyes off the ones who were in it from DAY ONE! All three out played, those who tried to latch on or make moves that wasn't in their interest, they put in WORK! They have out witted the competition with keeping eyes and ears open for chinks in the armor of those who plotted against them! Whaaaat?!?! Let's not forget the Dark Horse of the season, who trotted her way into real contention..Sophie!! That chick ROCKS! She is on a mission, and this is really gonna get good, people!! YES! I love what she said..This is a million dollar game, and I'm here to win it!! THAT is a Survivor! Ya feel me on this? This last tribal was epic and the moves within the moves faked us all our, and we watched Jawan roll out, and the drama that insured in the midst of it was so damn good! WOW! I would have normally said its about damn time this game got REAL, but truth is, and if we are honest, the game was real from the start and we missed it because we watched the forest and didn't see the TREE'S that were there the whole time, working, playing, in it, to win it..! Brace yourselves Survivors, because its going down, and the BOMB has exploded in the camp and now comes the strategy and collateral damage that has to be managed after the engagement..Who will rise above the ashes??? Sage? Stephen? Christina? or do they become victims of the hunt for a million dollars? mmmm? Who is gonna Out Wit? Who can Out Last? and most important, who can OUT PLAY?!
